About the Course

The New Naturalist course is designed to expand the lens through which you view nature. You will learn to use all of your senses to explore the natural world, how to view nature respectfully and with curiosity, and how to record yoru observations in a meaningful and organized way. This course requires your favorite notebook, writing implements, and a hand lens (if you have one).

Ari is a Registered Maine Guide, Wilderness First Responder, and trained naturalist. She has been immersed in the natural world since childhood and has a strong set of outdoor skills to help keep you safe, while you explore the wilds of our world.
